Girls Cross Country Roundup: Solon Claims Team Title at Independence Invitational

Solon had four runners finish in the top six on its way to winning the team title at the Independence Invitational on Thursday at the MHI Cross Country Course in Independence.
Falyn Svalstad finished third, Addison Seamans was fourth, Liv Nelson was fifth and Mailee Schmidt was sixth as Solon finished with 36 points.
Center Point-Urbana was runner-up with 47 points followed by Cedar Rapids Xavier with 83, Denver with 113 and Waverly-Shell Rock with 114.
Svalstad finished third in a time of 20:11.65 to start a string of four consecutive Spartans in the top six.
Seamans was fourth in 20:33.01 followed by Nelson in fifth in 20:44.38 and Schmidt in sixth in a time of 21:05.02.
Kadence Whitmer finished 21st in a time of 22:45.18 to lead Clear Creek Amana while teammate Keira Rosenberg was 23th in 22:48.13.
