Solon made its season debut in the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Volleyball rankings on Thursday entering the top 10 in Class 4A.

Off to a 9-1 start after a sweep of Class 3A No. 15 Mount Vernon on Tuesday Solon was ninth in the most recent Class 4A rankings released on Thursday.

Clear Creek Amana (13-1) remained the top-ranked team in Class 4A for the third consecutive week.

West High and Liberty High both remained in the top 10 in the Class 5A rankings.

West High (11-1) moved up one spot to fifth in Class 5A while Liberty High (9-2) held its spot at seventh in Class 5A.

Regina (8-5) dropped four spots to eighth in the Class 2A rankings.

Other top-ranked teams this week include Waukee Northwest in Class 5A, Western Christian in Class 3A, Denver in Class 2A and Fort Madison Holy Trinity in Class 1A.
