Class 4A fifth-ranked City High had six runners finish in the top seven and claimed the team title at the Hillcrest Academy Early Bird on Tuesday.

City High won the team title with 20 points followed by Albia with 57 points and English Valleys with 63.

Abigail Burns finished runner-up in a time of 19:46.12 to lead the Little Hawks while Grace Hamann was third in a time of 20:14.83.

Eliza Doster placed fourth in 20:20.71 followed by teammate Naomi Downing-Sherer in fifth place in a time of 21:13.87.

Calissa Fruin finished sixth in 21:21.36 and Madeline Fischer was seventh in 21:27.72 for City High.
