Boys Basketball Roundup: City High Stays Hot With Win Over Cedar Rapids Jefferson

City High is playing its best basketball of the season at precisely the right time.
City High won its third straight game and fourth in its last five on Tuesday holding off Cedar Rapids Jefferson 67-64 in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division contest in Iowa City.
City High improved to 7-12 on the season with the win while Cedar Rapids Jefferson dropped to 5-14.
Christopher Watkins led four Little Hawks in double figures with 20 points as City High won its second game in as many days after a road win at Dubuque Hempstead on Monday.
Davion Luckett had 13 points, Jaxton Schroeder had 12 points and Parker Sutherland added 10 points for the Little Hawks.
Jayden Faulkner had a game-high 22 points for Cedar Rapids Jefferson while Ian Eirp had 16 and Dayten Guy had 13 points for the J-Hawks.
