Boys Basketball Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Pulls Away From Vinton-Shellsburg

Clear Creek Amana broke open a two-point game by outscoring Vinton-Shellsburg 60-16 over the final three quarters Friday on its way to aN 80-34 win over the Vikings in a WAMAC West Division contest in Tiffin.
The win was the seventh in a row for Clear Creek Amana and improved the Clippers to 14-4 and 8-0 in WAMAC West Division play while Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 9-9 and 3-4 in WAMAC West Division games.
Playing without a pair of starters on Friday Clear Creek Amana led just 20-18 after the opening quarter.
However, the Clippers outscored Vinton-Shellsburg 17-3 in the second quarter and 18-7 in the third.
Andrew Rotzoll led Clear Creek Amana with 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Brock Hilsman had 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals and Robert Meade had 11 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots.
Beckett Boesett had nine points and seven rebounds and Cale Berry had nine points, four rebounds and four assists.
