City High started the new year with a win defeating Burlington 62-39 on Saturday in a non-conference contest in Burlington.

Jaxton Schroeder had a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds and Christopher Watkins added 11 points as City High improved to 3-6 on the season.

Parker Sutherland had eight points, six rebounds and three steals for the Little Hawks and Jack Lampe had eight points.

Iyon Harris had seven points while Davion Luckett had four points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals.

Burlington dropped to 2-7 with the loss.
