Girls Basketball Roundup: City High Downs Ames For Second Straight Win

Class 5A No. 14 City High picked up its second win in as many days on Tuesday downing Ames 68-48 in a non-conference contest in Iowa City.
City High improved to 2-1 on the season with the win, which came after a road victory over Ottumwa on Monday.
Ames dropped to 0-3 with the loss.
August Palmer led three City High players in double figures with 19 points while Tessa Driscoll added 14 points for the Little Hawks.
Kaitlin Loria had 13 points and Emmy McComas and Hattie Galloway each had six points for City High.
Karsyn Pankonen had 19 points to lead Ames and Natalya Deardorff added eight for the Little Cyclones.
