Girls Cross Country Roundup: Solon Wins Team Title at Independence Invitational

Sydney Dee finished runner-up to lead five Solon runners that finished in the top 11 as the Spartans claimed the team title at the Independence Invitational on Thursday in Independence.
Solon won the team title with 38 points while Clear Creek Amana was runner-up with 41 and Iowa Falls was third with 95.
Dee finished runner-up to Amilia Condon of Union who won the individual title in 19:38.7.
Dee posted a runner-up time of 20:33.86 as Solon had four finishers in the top 10 and five in the top 11.
Freshman Kinley Mai was sixth in 21:29.05 for the Spartans.
Falyn Svalstad was ninth in 21:34.06, Liv Nelson was 10th in 21:55.97 and Addison Seamans was 11th in 22:26.99.
Clear Creek Amana was led by Kira Barker who finished third in 21:10.1 and Sara Kinzenbaw who was fourth in 21:11.33.
Kadence Whitmer placed seventh in a time of 21:30.77 for the Clippers while Kelsey Leathers was 12th in 22:36.4 and Eva Leighton-Dick was 15th in 22:48.41.
