Baseball Roundup: Solon Sweeps West Delaware in WAMAC Doubleheader

Class 3A ninth-ranked Solon swept West Delaware in a WAMAC Conference East Division doubleheader on Monday in Solon winning the opener 7-4 and taking the nightcap 4-1.
The Spartans improved to 21-9 on the season with the sweep while West Delaware dropped to 8-19.
Jackson Link earned the win in game one allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits while striking out four and walking two.
Maddox Kelley was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI and Tyson Wheeler went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Brett White and Ty Bell each had a hit and scored run and Garret Stebral had a hit and drove in a run for the Spartans in the opener.
Wheeler earned the win for Solon in game two tossing five scoreless innings allowing three hits while striking out five and also went 2-for-3.
Vince Steinbrech homered in the game two win while White went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI and Dylan Gorham and Bell each had a hit and scored a run.
