Sydney Dee earned medalist honors and Izzy Frees was runner-up as Solon defeated Independence in a WAMAC Conference dual meet on Monday at Three Elms Golf Club in Independence.

Dee shot a 43 and Frees fired a 46 as Solon finished with a 183 as a team to outdistance host Independence which shot a 223.

Rylie Greazel and Mya Miller each shot 47 for Solon while Bailey Woolley shot a 51 and Jaya Farlinger shot a 52 for the Spartans.
