West High won eight matches and scored bonus points in seven on its way to a 42-34 win over Western Dubuque in a Mississippi Valley Conference dual meet on Thursday in Iowa City.

Charles Barnhouse (113), Alexander Pierce (120) and Braden Doyle (150) all posted first-period pins for West High while Justin Avila (157) and Kyler Scranton (190) had second-period pins.

Matthew Tran (126) won a 20-5 tech fall and Michael Colleran (132) won an 11-2 major decision for the Trojans.

West High also got a 6-0 win from Campbell Janis at 138 pounds.
