Class 5A No. 14 City High earned a Mississippi Valley Conference road win on Tuesday defeating Waterloo West 25-12, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21 in Waterloo.

The Little Hawks improved to 5-4 with the win while Waterloo West dropped to 0-5 on the season.

Emmy McComas led City High with 15 kills, 13 digs and three blocks and Hattie Galloway had nine kills and two blocks.

Jessi Kucera had 11 digs and three ace serves for City High while Claire Ernst had seven kills nine digs and three ace serves.

Kaitlin Loria had three kills, Sidney Slay had 23 assists and seven digs and Jordyn Kucera had 11 assists and seven digs for the Little Hawks.

Danica Wrage led Waterloo West with 12 kills and Jada Smith had 11 kills for the WaHawks.
