City High swept Cedar Rapids Washington in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division doubleheader at Franklin Field in Cedar Rapids on Thursday.

The Little Hawks won the opener 12-5 and took the nightcap 15-8 while improving to 10-23 on the season with their third consecutive win.

Cedar Rapids Washington dropped to 3-33 on the season.

Lexi Ellermeier earned the win in the opener allowing five runs, three earned, on six hits while striking out six and walking two.

Ellermeier also went 2-for-4 with a double as seven different Little Hawks had a hit in game one.

Molly Carlson went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a home run and drove in five runs to lead City High while Ellie Fraga was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Lianna Hull was 2-for-3, walked twice and scored four runs and Mackenzie Dvorsky was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.

Quinn Brende had a hit and drove in two runs and Eliza Mitchell had a hit.

Addyson McKillip earned the win in the nightcap as City High had nine hits while completing the sweep.

Hull had two hits including a triple, scored two runs and drove in a run and McKillip had two hits and drove in two runs.

Maeve Obermueller had two hits, drove in two runs and scored three times and Dvorsky doubled and drove in two runs.

Fraga and Ellermeier each had hits and drove in runs.
