Softball Roundup: 2A Top-ranked Regina Splits With 3A No. 15 West Liberty

Class 2A top-ranked Regina split a River Valley Conference South Division doubleheader with Class 3A No. 15 West Liberty on Monday in West Liberty winning the opener 6-3 and dropping the nightcap 9-8.
Regina moved to 23-7 on the season while West Liberty now sits at 16-9.
Ashley Webb earned the win in game one for Regina allowing three unearned runs on six hits while striking out 13 and walking two.
Alli Clark went 2-for-3 with a double and scored two runs to lead Regina while Dani Laughlin was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.
Kennedy Conner had three hits and Reese Litton, Avery Kies and Courtney Kessler all scored runs for Regina.
Five different Regals had multiple hits in the nightcap led by Conner who was 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Clark was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, two RBI and a run scored and Morgan Gahan was 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
Kessler had a hit, drove in three runs and scored a run and Laughlin had two hits and scored three runs for the Regals.
