Solon stretched its winning streak to four and completed a regular season sweep of rival Mount Vernon with a 50-49 win over the Mustangs in a WAMAC East Division top-15 tilt on Friday in Solon.

Class 3A second-ranked Solon improved to 18-2 on the season with the win, its second over Mount Vernon in a little more than two weeks after downing the Mustangs 56-50 on January 17 in Mount Vernon.

Class 3A No. 12 Mount Vernon had a three-game winning streak end with the loss and dropped to 12-7 on the season.

Callie Levin had a game-high 20 points to lead Solon while Hailey Miller had nine and Kobi Lietz and Anna Quillin each had eight for the Spartans.

Chloe Meester led Mount Vernon with 16 points while Lilly See added 14.
