Ford Washburn and City High completed a clean sweep of the Mississippi Valley Conference meets on Thursday.

A week after Washburn won the individual title to help City High to the MVC Super Meet title Washburn won the individual title and City High claimed the team crown at the MVC Valley Divisional meet at Irv Warren Golf Course in Waterloo.

Washburn won the individual title in 14:59, finishing more than 30 seconds in front of runner-up Isaiah Hammerand of Western Dubuque.

Class 4A fourth-ranked City High had four runners in the top 15 highlighted by a trio of top-10 finishers while claiming the team title with 49 points.

Ninth-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy was runner-up with 56 points followed by No. 11 Dubuque Hempstead with 64 points and No. 18 West High with 106.

Truman Thompson was fifth in a time of 15:56.1 and Ammon Smith was eighth in 16:15.9 for City High while Noah Carey finished 15^th in 16:41.2.

West High had a pair of top-10 finishers as sophomore Moustafa Tiea placed sixth in 16:06.8 and senior Seth Cheney was 10^th in 16:17.6.

Michael Lee placed 28^th in 17:16 for West High and Andrew Polgreen was 30^th in 17:26.3.
