West High dropped a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division match to Western Dubuque 25-14, 25-22, 22-25, 26-24 on Tuesday in Epworth.

Class 4A No. 12 Western Dubuque improved to 5-0 and 1-0 in MVC play with the win while West High dropped to 1-4 and 1-1 in MVC action.

Melae’ Lacy led West High with 13 kills while Sophia Deyak added eight kills and three blocks and for the Trojans.

Lucy Schmid had six kills and Lacy had a team-high 13 digs to pace West High.

Alaina Greenlee had 11 digs and Lily Prochaska had 26 assists and 10 digs.
