Softball Roundup: Solon Sweeps Dyersville Beckman in WAMAC Doubleheader

Solon swept Dyersville Beckman in a WAMAC East Division doubleheader on Tuesday in Solon winning the opener 5-0 and taking the nightcap 7-4.
The Spartans improved to 5-5 on the season and evened their WAMAC record at 4-4 with the sweep while Dyersville Beckman dropped to 2-6 on the season and 2-4 in conference play.
Kendall Jensen tossed a two-hit shutout in the opener, striking out seven while walking just one.
Carly Ellison went 3-for-3 to lead Solon while Ava Stebral had a hit, drove in two runs and scored a run in the game one win.
Addie Miller had a hit and drove in a run while Izzy Frees and Mia Stahle each had a hit and scored a run in the win.
Stebral homered and Hilary Wilson had two hits and drove in a run as Solon rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to win the nightcap.
Frees earned the win allowing four unearned runs on three hits while striking out one and walking one.
Claire LaDage had a hit and drove in two runs while Camryn Keith had a hit and scored a run for the Spartans.
