Softball Roundup: Fourth-ranked Regina Rolls Past Bellevue

Class 2A fourth-ranked Regina hammered 12 hits in a 13-3 five-inning win over Bellevue on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference cross-division contest at Cole Park in Bellevue.
Courtney Kessler and Dani Laughlin each had three hits as Regina improved to 6-4 on the season and 4-1 in RVC play.
Bellevue dropped to 0-6.
Jillian Panther picked up the win for Regina allowing three runs on three hits while striking out five and walking four in 4 1/3 innings.
Panther got plenty of run production behind her as Regina broke the game open with an eight-run second inning.
Kesller went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and five RBI while Laughlin went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.
Avery Kies had a hit, scored two runs and drove in a run and Kennedy Connor doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run.
Laci Chambliss had a hit and scored a run, Alli Clark had a triple and scored twice and Morgan Gahan had a hit and scored two runs.
Emma Nibaur had a hit and drove in a run and Gabby Sueppel drove in a run and scored a run.
