Solon closed the regular season with a 71-62 win over Class 4A No. 13 Benton Community on Monday in a potential regional semifinal preview in Van Horne.

Callie Levin had 30 points and Kaia Holtkamp added 23 as Solon improved to 14-7 on the season with its fifth consecutive win.

Benton Community got a game-high 37 points from Jenna Twedt but it wasn’t enough as the Bobcats dropped to 17-5 with their second consecutive loss.

The game was tied at 52 with five minutes left before Solon pulled away.

Makinley Levin had eight points and Elly Holubar five for Solon.

McKenna Kramer added 12 for Benton Community.
