Boys Basketball Roundup: Solon Rallies Past Mount Vernon With Big Second Half

Solon outscored Mount Vernon 40-20 in the second half, erasing a 12-point halftime deficit on its way to a 55-47 win over the Mustangs on Tuesday in a WAMAC East Division contest in Solon.
The win was the fourth straight for Solon and improved to the Spartans to 13-7 on the season and 11-5 in WAMAC play while Mount Vernon dropped to 10-9 and 8-7 in conference contests.
Jake Benzing led Solon with 14 points while Jacob Timmons had 11 and Kinnick Pusteoska added nine for the Spartans.
Sean Stahle had six points and Jake Quillin and Brady Mullen each had four.
Joe Rhomberg had 16 points and Cooper Schoff had 11 to lead Mount Vernon.
