City High fell to Class 4A top-ranked Western Dubuque 25-16, 26-24, 25-20 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division match in Iowa City.

Western Dubuque improved to 21-3 overall and 5-2 in MVC play with the win while City High dropped to 14-11 and 4-3 in Mississippi Division matches.

Claire Ernst had a team-high 14 kills and added 14 digs to lead City High while Emmy McComas had five kills and eight digs.

Makayla Ribble had 23 assists, six digs and three kills while Morgan Turner added 10 digs for the Little Hawks.
