Boys Golf Roundup: West High Finishes Eighth at 4A District Meet

West High finished eighth and City High was 13th at the Class 4A district meet on Monday at Thunder Hills Country Club in Peosta.
Cedar Falls won the team title with a 287 while Cedar Rapids Kennedy was runner-up with a 308 and Dubuque Wahlert was third with 311 to secure spots at the Class 4A state meet.
West High was eighth with a 316 as just five strokes separated the third-place and eighth-place teams.
Owen Larson, Dillon Croco, Landon Peoples and Colie Collier all shot 79 for the Trojans.
Max Tjoa of Cedar Falls shot a 67 to win the individual title while teammate Jordan Nelson was runner-up with a 72.
City High was 13th with a 377 and was led by Arthur Hall with an 89 while Zachary Meredith shot a 95.
