Softball Roundup: Nibaur Leads Regina Past Class 4A No. 8 Clear Creek Amana

Emma Nibaur did it all for Regina on Friday in a win over Class 4A eighth-ranked Clear Creek Amana.
Nibaur collected the win in the circle holding the Clippers to six hits while striking out six and also had three hits including a pair of doubles in a 5-2 Regina win in a non-conference meeting in Iowa City.
Regina improved to 16-11 with the win while Clear Creek Amana dropped to 27-9 on the season with the loss.
Nibaur gave up a pair of first-inning runs but nothing after as she held the Clippers to two runs on six hits while walking two in a complete game.
The junior also went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run scored as Regina finished with nine hits.
Abby Clark went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI and Jaelynn Ernst had a pair of hits for Regina.
Gabby Sueppel doubled and scored a run while Baylee O’Connor had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run.
Clear Creek Amana was led by Olivia Miller who was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored and Ellie Crow who went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Ella Miller had a hit and drove in a run and Gabrielle Bedford scored a run.
Ashly Webb took the loss allowing five runs, three earned, on nine hits while striking out 10 and also had a single.
