Baseball Roundup: Solon Hammers Linn-Mar in Non-conference Contest

Solon scored 12 runs in the first inning and rolled to a 18-3 four-inning win over Linn-Mar in a non-conference contest in Solon on Wednesday.
Blake Timmons, Carson Shive and Ben Cusick all had three hits for Solon as the Spartans finished with 19 hits while improving to 8-4 on the season with their third consecutive win.
Linn-Mar dropped to 7-5 with the loss.
Cusick went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored and Shive was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and two runs scored.
Timmons went 3-for-3 with a triple and scored four runs while Kinnick Pusteoska homered.
Brett White had two hits and drove in three runs and Jackson Ryan, Cade Chapman and Brady Jeworrek each had hits and drove in runs.
Jacob Smith picked up the win allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out one in four innings.
