Baseball Roundup: Solon Falls to Central DeWitt in Extra Innings

Solon fell to Central DeWitt 5-4 in eight innings in a non-conference contest in DeWitt on Wednesday.
Central DeWitt improved to 4-0 with the win while Solon dropped to 3-3 with the loss.
Jacob Smith took the loss for Solon allowing just one run on two hits in 3 1/3 strong innings of relief.
Blake Timmons started and allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out three in 4 1/3 innings.
Carson Shive went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI to lead Solon while Brady Jeworrek and Brayden Rickertsen each had a hit and scored a run.
Jackson Ryan, Gehrig Turner and Blake Timmons had hits for the Spartans and Timmons and Brett White drove in runs.
