City High shot a 219 in its first action of the season on Tuesday on its way to a third-place finish at the Cedar Rapids Jefferson Quadrangular at Twin Pines Golf Course in Cedar Rapids.

Cedar Falls won the Mississippi Valley Conference quad with a 191 while Dubuque Hempstead was second with a 199.

City High finished one stroke in front of host Cedar Rapids Jefferson for third.

Lauryn Varo fired a 51 to pace City High while Savanna Josephson shot a 55; Allison Ribble had a 56 and Dani Moen a 57 for the Little Hawks.

Amara Lytle of Cedar Falls earned medalist honors shooting a 39.
