West Branch and Solon both moved up in the most recent Associated Press boys basketball poll released while Liberty High made its debut in the poll on Monday.

Liberty High jumped into the poll for the first time, coming in at sixth in Class 4A while West Branch and Solon both moved up in the poll after entering last week.

Liberty High (3-0) joins top-ranked Cedar Falls and second-ranked West Des Moines Valley as the lone unbeaten teams in 4A.

West Branch (9-0) was one of several big movers in the Class 2A poll jumping five spots to fifth.

Spirit Lake jumped from ninth to second and Dike-New Hartford moved up from eighth to third in the 2A poll behind top-ranked Boyden-Hull.

Solon (8-1) moved up one spot to ninth in Class 3A after a strong week that included a road win at 2A No. 9 Dyersville Beckman.

Clear Creek Amana received votes in the 3A poll.
