Class 5A fourth-ranked West High twice held Linn-Mar to four points in a quarter on its way to a 54-35 win over the Lions in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division matchup on Tuesday in Iowa City.

West High limited the Lions to four points in the second and fourth quarters while improving to 2-0 on the season while Linn-Mar dropped to 2-1 with the loss.

Audrey Koch had a game-high 15 points to lead West High while Emma Ingersoll-Weng added 11.

Meena Tate had nine points and Jenna Saunders and Melae’ Lacy each had six for the Trojans.

Caelynn Obleton had 11 points to lead Linn-Mar while Zoe Kennedy had 10 points and eight rebounds.
