Regina Routs Highland in Regular Season Finale

Ashton Cook and his Regina teammates were not perfect in their regular season finale against Highland on Friday.
Cook and the Regals weren’t too far off from perfection in the first half on Friday.
Regina bolted to a 42-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 56-19 win over Highland in the regular season finale for both teams at Regal Field in Iowa City.
Cook completed all 11 of his pass attempts on Friday, throwing for 254 yards and two scores as Class A third-ranked Regina (6-1) stretched its winning streak to six.
The Regals had already locked up the Class A, District 6 title but built momentum heading into the postseason with a dominant performance on Friday.
Theo Kolie rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns on just 11 carries and both of Alec Wick’s receptions went for touchdowns as Regina completed a perfect 5-0 district slate.
Wick started the scoring with a 14-yard touchdown run and added touchdown grabs for 3 and 52 yards from Cook in the first half.
Kolie scored on runs of 37, 1 and 24 yards as Regina took a 42-0 lead into intermission and the senior running back made the score 49-0 with a 4-yard run in the third quarter.
Levi Quinlan caught five passes for 90 yards and Kolie had two catches for 70 yards.
Blake Chambliss and Aiden Udell each had six tackles to lead the Regina defensive charge.
