Class 4A fifth-ranked Western Dubuque defeated City High 25-20, 25-13, 22-25, 25-17 in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division matchup on Tuesday in Epworth

Western Dubuque improved to 16-8 and 6-1 in Mississippi Division play with the win while City High dropped to 3-6 on the season and 1-4 in MVC play.

Claire Ernst led City High with 11 kills and seven digs and Alia Vanderhoef added 10 kills for the Little Hawks.

Makayla Ribble had 38 assists, 11 digs and four kills.
