Solon closed the regular season with a 13-4 loss to Bettendorf on Tuesday in a non-conference contest in Solon.

The loss was the third straight for Solon and dropped the Spartans to 13-7 on the season while Bettendorf closed the regular season 11-8.

The Bulldogs snapped a 2-2 tie with three runs in the second inning and broke the game open with a six-run third.

Solon was held to just three hits as Brady Jeworrek had a pair of doubles and drove in two runs and Brett White singled and scored a run.

Jackson Ryan, Kinnick Pusteoska and Blake Timmons all scored runs for Solon.

The Spartans will open postseason play on Friday hosting Washington (9-7) at 7 p.m.
