Class 3A No. 9 Anamosa stretched its winning streak to eight with a 4-1 victory over Regina on Monday in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in Iowa City.

Anamosa improved to 9-1 on the season and 9-1 in RVC play with the win while Regina dropped to 7-10 on the season and 7-4 in RVC games.

Emma Nibaur took the loss for Regina allowing four runs, two earned, on six hits while striking out three and walking one in seven innings.

Annie Gahan had a hit and scored a run for Regina while Elly Gahan had a hit and Baylee O’Connor had an RBI double.

Alli Clark had a double and Nibaur added a hit for Regina.
