West High Receiver Crane Commits to Truman State

One of the most productive pass catchers in Class 4A has found his future home.
West High senior receiver Tate Crane announced his commitment to Truman State University with a post on social media on Saturday.
Crane had 67 receptions for 919 yards and seven touchdowns over the past two seasons helping West High to a 13-7 record.
“I am proud and excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and football career at Truman State University,” Crane wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to my family and friends for their unconditional love and support and a special thank you to each and every coach, teacher and teammate who has made an impact on my learning and success.”
The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Crane caught a career-high 40 passes for 526 yards and four touchdowns as a senior ranking second on the team in all three categories.
Crane also ranked ninth on the team with 19 tackles last season and had an interception and recovered a fumble as a defensive back.
Division II Truman State is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and is coming off a 10-2 season that featured a 10-7 win at Drake in its season opener and win in the America’s Crossroads Bowl over Ohio Dominican.
