West Branch Junior Henson Commits to Lindenwood University

Nicki Henson still has time to put the finishing touches on what is already a stacked prep softball resume.
In the meantime, Henson has determined where she will play softball at the next level.
The West Branch junior announced her verbal commitment to Lindenwood University with a post on social media on Monday.
“I’m extremely excited to announce that I have verbally committed to Lindenwood University to continue my academic and softball career,” Henson wrote. “Thank you to anyone who has supported me through this process.”
Henson is already among the top hitter in West Branch history.
A three-time all-state selection Henson is coming off the best season of her prep career as a sophomore.
Henson matched her career high with 58 hits last season while lead the Bears with a .487 batting average, 42 runs and 21 stolen bases.
The junior centerfielder had three doubles, two triples and drove in eight runs from her leadoff spot.
A career .456 hitter, Henson has led West Branch in hits each of the past three seasons while earning Class 2A all-state honors each year.
Lindenwood University is a NCAA Division II program in St. Charles, Missouri that is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
