Boys Basketball Roundup: Liberty High Hammers Carlisle For Second Straight Win

Less than 24 hours snapping a three-game losing skid Liberty High moved one win away from a three-game winning streak.
Liberty High followed up a 68-53 win over Waterloo East on Friday with a 65-35 victory over Carlisle on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference contest played at Cedar Rapids Kennedy as part of the Wells Fargo Advisors Shootout.
The Lightning improved to 8-6 win the win on Saturday while Carlisle dropped to 6-9.
Liberty High jumped to a 26-6 lead after the opening quarter and led 48-20 after three quarters.
Kelby Telander had a game-high 13 points to pace Liberty High while Andre Brandon added 11 points.
Sam Funke and Basil Aldoss each had eight and Ben Houselog had six for Liberty High.
Cole Osterhaus led Carlisle with eight points.
