Liberty High shot a 186 to win a non-conference triangular on Friday at Brown Deer Golf Course in Coralville.

The Lightning had three golfers shoot 48 or better while finishing 10 strokes in front of runner-up Pleasant Valley.

Neely Maurus fired a one-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors while Grace Crimmins shot a 47 and Rylee Fay carded a 48 for Liberty High.

West Branch Fourth at Tipton Tigerette Invite

West Branch placed fourth and Solon was fifth on Friday at the Tipton Tigerette Invite on Friday at the Tipton Golf and Country Club.

Host Tipton shot a 383 to win the team title, finishing 10 strokes in front of runner-up Williamsburg.

Wilton was third with a 403 while West Branch was fourth with a 442 and Solon was fifth with a 444. Regina placed 10th with a 470.

Lauren Nalan shot a 106 to lead West Branch while Lexi Clemens shot a 110 and Savannah Sexton shot a 111.

Solon’s Leah Woessner finished in a tie for seventh-place with a 100 while Katlyn Jeter shot a 113 and Camryn Keith a 114 for the Spartans.

Ellie VanLandschoot led Regina with a 104.
