Boys Basketball Roundup: City High Snaps Losing Skid in Cedar Rapids

A change in venue turned out to be exactly what City High needed.
City High snapped a seven-game losing skid with a 71-58 win over Waterloo West on Saturday at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids in a game played as part of the Wells Fargo Advisors Shootout.
The win was the first Mississippi Valley Conference victory of the season for City High and improved the Little Hawks to 3-7 on the season and 1-7 in MVC play.
Waterloo West dropped to 6-4 and 4-4 in MVC play.
Ry Threlkeld-Wiegand led five City High players in double figures with 14 points while Darren Richardson and Liam McComas each had 13 for the Little Hawks.
Carter Westlake and Antonio Turner each had 11 points and Byron Benton added eight.
Daquavian Walker had a game-high 19 points for Waterloo West while Isaiah Johnson added 13.
