Baseball Roundup: Regina Stays Unbeaten in RVC Play With Win at Camanche

Regina continued its torrid offense start while remaining unbeaten in conference play with a 9-2 win at Camanche in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup on Thursday in Camanche.
Class 2A second-ranked Regina hammered 10 hits in the win while improving to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in RVC play.
Regina scored in five innings on Thursday while scoring at least nine runs for the fourth time this season.
Ryan Schott led the Regina attack going 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI.
Nick Brandt and Mitch Gahan each had two hits while Gahan scored two runs and Brandt drove in a run.
Ryne Schooley had a hit and two RBI, Masen Miller and Jake Phillips each scored two runs and Jayden Kies added an RBI.
Brandt earned the win allowing two runs on five hits while striking out six in six innings.
Alex Meister worked a scoreless seventh to close out the win.

Clippers Drop Two at Mount Vernon
Clear Creek Amana dropped both gams of a WAMAC cross-divisional doubleheader on Thursday in Mount Vernon.
Mount Vernon scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to earn a win in the opener and took advantage of 11 walks and six Clear Creek Amana errors to win the nightcap 14-4 in six innings.
Clear Creek Amana dropped to 3-7 on the season and 0-6 in WAMAC play while Mount Vernon improved to 6-3 and 5-1 in conference games.
TJ Bollers and Grant Jensen each had two hits and scored a run in the opener while Camden Smyka had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run.
Smyka allowed four runs on five hits in 4 2/3 innings while Cody Ogden took the loss in relief allowing just one unearned run on no hits and two walks in two innings.
Ogden had a hit and an RBI in the nightcap while Casey Ogden and Bollers each had a hit and scored a run.
David Jensen took the loss allowing six runs, two earned, on four hits while striking out five and walking five in three innings.
