Regina will begin postseason play next week and the Regals will enter with some momentum.
Class 2A ninth-ranked Regina stretched its winning streak to five with a 15-5 non-conference win over Mount Vernon in its regular season finale on Thursday at Cornell College.
Jayden Kies had four hits as Regina hammered out 20 hits as a team while winning for the 10th time in its last 11 games.
Regina improved to 24-7 on the season and will open postseason play on Tuesday at home.
Kies had a double, scored four runs and drove in two while leading the Regina attack.
Trent Hoogerwerf, Ryan Schott, Ryne Schooley, Hunter Liebermann, Nick Brandt and Evan Suchomel all had two hits for Regina.
Hoogerwerf drove in four runs while Schooley knocked in three and Schott had two RBI.
Brandt, Liebermann, Schott and Mitch Gahan all scored two runs for the Regals.
Gahan picked up the win allowing five runs, four earned, on seven hits in five innings.

Clippers Have Nine-Game Winning Streak Snapped With Loss to BGM
Clear Creek Amana finally had its winning streak come to an end on Thursday but not before it won a school-record nine straight games.
The Clippers won their ninth straight game with a 12-3 win over BGM (11-14) in the opening game of a non-conference doubleheader in Tiffin before dropping the nightcap 6-5.
Clear Creek Amana moved to 16-18 with the doubleheader split and has won 10 of its last 12 games.
Grant Riggan picked up the win in the opener allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking five.
Grant Jensen worked three hitless innings of relief to secure the save.
Tyler Hallett went 2-for-3, scored two runs and drove in a run in the opener while TJ Bollers homered and drove in two runs.
David Jensen had a hit, scored twice and drove in two runs while Tyler Schrepfer had a hit and scored twice.
Clear Creek Amana rallied from a 6-1 deficit in the nightcap but couldn’t pull even, falling 6-5.
David Jensen took the loss allowing five earned runs on five hits in the complete game, striking out 11.
Jensen had a hot and drove in two runs while Camden Smyka went 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
