Softball Roundup: West Branch, Regina Pick Up RVC Wins

West Branch has followed up an ice cold start with a red hot week.
The Bears won for the sixth time in their last seven games on Tuesday with a 10-3 win at Monticello in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup.
West Branch improved to 6-7 on the season and 3-4 in RVC play with its third consecutive conference win.
DaLana Kron had two hits including a double and drove in two runs and Nicki Henson was 3-for-4 with a walk to lead West Branch.
Lexi Peak drove in three runs with a bases loaded double.
Kaiya Luneckas allowed three hits and struck out eight in six innings to earn the win while Hannah Tisinger tossed the seventh to close out the win.
Regina Knocks Off North Cedar
Class 2A No. 6 Regina defeated North Cedar 13-3 in five innings on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Iowa City.
Sarah Lehman ended the game via the 10-run rule with a grand slam in the fifth inning as Regina improved to 9-2 on the season and 6-0 in RVC play.
Emma Corkery went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Lehman was 2-for-3 with a double a home run and seven RBI.
Katie Bracken earned the win for Regina.
