Solon had eight players named to the WAMAC All-Division baseball teams and Clear Creek Amana had seven all-division honorees when the conference released its postseason awards this week.

Clear Creek Amana junior Luke Young was named to the West Division player of the year to highlight the all-division picks for the Clippers.

Young batted .392 with 16 extra-base hits including three home runs, 32 runs and 29 RBI on his way to being a unanimous first team all-West Division selection.

Senior pitcher Blayne Roberts joined Young as a unanimous first team pick.

Roberts went 6-0 with a 1.56 ERA and .84 WHIP while striking out 88 in a team-high 45 innings.

Juniors Silas Cobb and Alex DuBay and sophomore Texton Bollers were all named to the West Division second team.

DuBay went 5-1 with a 2.40 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with 45 strikeouts in 35 innings pitched.

Bollers batted .364 with a team-high eight home runs, 32 runs scored, 20 stolen bases and 32 RBI and also had a 6.54 ERA and struck out 27 in 20 1/3 innings pitched.

Cobb hit .274 with 16 extra-base hits, three home runs, 23 RBI, 19 runs scored and 15 stolen bases.

Seniors Wyatt Key and Talen Hoffman each earned honorable mention honors for Clear Creek Amana.

Solon had eight players earn all-East Division honors highlighted by a trio of first team picks.

Senior Dylan Gorham, junior Luke Deike, sophomore Luke Merrick were all named to the East Division first team.

Gorham batted .384 with 13 extra-base hits, 47 runs scored and 11 RBI on his way to earning first team all-East Division honors.

Merrick was a unanimous first-team pick after batting .396 with 11 home runs and 43 RBI while Deike was a unanimous first-team pick after hitting .383 with 39 RBI and going 6-4 with a 2.72 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 54 innings.

Sophomore Tate Miller, junior Maddox Kelley and senior Carson Kidwell were all named to the East Division second team.

Miller went 8-0 with a 1.41 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 59 strikeouts in a team-high 54 2/3 innings for the Spartans.

Kidwell hit .36 with 34 RBI and a .477 on-base percentage and Kelley batted .343 with 46 runs scored and 19 RBI.

Senior Hayden Detra and junior Brady Wick earned honorable mention honors for Solon.
