Grinnell swept Solon in a WAMAC Conference doubleheader on Wednesday in West Liberty winning the opener 10-2 in six innings and taking the nightcap 9-6.

The Tigers improved to 13-4 with the doubleheader sweep while Solon dropped to 9-9 with the losses.

Liv Nelson had two hits to lead Solon in the opener while Layla Knazze and Dillon Ostrander each had a hit for the Spartans.

Ashtyn Swancutt and Beckett Kruse each scored a run and Laeni Hinkle drove in a run for Solon.

In the nightcap Beckitt Kabela tripled and drove in two runs to lead four Solon players with two hits.

Emerson Miller, Ostrander and Swancutt all went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Hinkle had a hit, drove in a run and scored two runs.

Nelson and Knazze each had a hit and scored a run for Solon in game two.
