Class 5A eighth-ranked West High responded to a home loss on Friday with a 62-45 win over Western Dubuque in a Mississippi Valley Conference matchup in Iowa City on Monday.

West High improved to 13-5 with the win while Western Dubuque dropped to 1-18.

Grace Fincham had 26 points, nine rebounds and four assists to lead West High.

Abby Neumiller had 14 points and Ava Frese had seven points and three assists.

Kate Van Waning had three points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals and Josephine Austen had three points and seven rebounds.
