Class 5A seventh-ranked West High scored 44 points in the second half to break open a three-point game on its way to a 76-46 win over Waterloo West on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Waterloo.

The win was the fifth in a row for West High and improved the Trojans to 11-3 on the season.

Waterloo West had a two-game winning streak halted with the loss and dropped to 8-7 on the season.

Grace Fincham led West High with 19 points, 10 rebounds and four assists and Sasha Baldwin added 18 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Abby Neumiller had 15 points and four rebounds and Kate Van Waning had 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
