Class 5A eighth-ranked City High rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to down Class 3A fourth-ranked Dubuque Wahlert 39-36 in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional showdown in Iowa City.

The win was the second in as many days for City High and improved the Little Hawks to 11-3 on the season.

Dubuque Wahlert had a five-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 8-2.

Hattie Galloway led City High with 11 points while Kaitlin Loria added six points for the Little Hawks.

Eve Vitense, Maybes Miller and Tessa Driscoll all have five points for City High.

Emily Tanny had a game-high 16 points to pace Dubuque Wahlert and Celia Scherr had seven points for the Golden Eagles.
