Boys Wrestling Roundup: Four Trojans Win Titles As West High Takes Team Crown at Ottumwa Invite

West High crowned four champions on its way to winning the team title at the 24-team Ottumwa Invitational on Saturday in Ottumwa.
Diego Robertty, Alexander Pierce, Blest Woods and Kaden Stitt all won individual titles for the Trojans as West High racked up 636.5 points to edge runner-up North Scott by four points.
Cedar Rapids Prairie was third with 425, Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln finished fourth with 386 and Louisa-Muscatine was fifth with 358 while Liberty High placed seventh with 318 points.
West High had six finalists as Owin Koethe and Campbell Janis each added runner-up finishes and 12 Trojans finished in the top seven.
Robertty (16-1) won the 113-pound title with a 21-5 tech fall of Class 2A top-ranked Cael McCabe of Fairfield.
Pierce followed with a title at 126 pounds and needed just 44 seconds to pin Matthew Williams of North Scott in the title match.
Woods (17-3) won a 10-2 major decision over Class 1A third-ranked Tully Wood of Wayne in the 157-pound title match.
Stitt (20-5) was the fourth West High individual champ winning a 7-4 decision over Class 1A fifth-ranked Owen Menke of Sigourney-Keota in the 285-pound championship.
Koethe finished runner-up at 144 pounds and Janis was runner-up at 157 pounds for the Trojans.
Charles Barnhouse placed fourth at 138 and Hugo Hughes was fifth at 120 and Jack Law was fifth at 190 pounds.
Ashten Holmes placed sixth at 215 pounds, Nicholas Rubio placed sixth at 106 pounds and Owen Smock was seventh at 132.
Liberty High was led by Connor McGonegle who finished runner-up at 106 pounds and Rex Edmonds who finished runner-up at 132 pounds.
Konstantinos Panos finished fourth at 113 pounds, Ben Rosen was sixth at 120 pounds and Bryant Walker was seventh at 150 pounds.
Evertt Kahn was ninth at 126 pounds, Jaryn Sertterh was ninth at 285 and Brock Bell was 10th at 138 pounds for the Lightning.
