West Branch had four wrestlers reach the finals and junior Ethan Humphrey won an individual title as the Bears finished fourth at the 160-team Gary Curtis Invitational at Highland High School in Riverside.

Humphrey (23-2) won the 113-pound title to lead a strong day for West Branch that included eight wrestlers that finished in the top six.

West Branch racked up 140 points finishing behind team champion Alburnett, runner-up Wilton and third-place Riverside in the team standings.

Regina finished ninth with 81.5 points and had three wrestlers finish in the top three.

Class 2A second-ranked Humphrey went 3-0 on his way to the 113-pound title, pinning 1A second-ranked Ian Maize of WACO in 4:18 in the title match.

Logan Christoffel, Cash Hatfield and Keaton Gates all posted runner-up finishes for the Bears.

Christoffel was runner-up at 132 pounds, Hatfield was runner-up at 144 and Gates was runner-up at 150 pounds.

Cooper Gates finished third at 165 pounds while Teague Thomas was fourth at 120 pounds for the Bears.

Liam Exline finished sixth at 126 pounds and Elliot Montgomery was sixth at 106 pounds.

Regina was led by Dawson Boileau and Simon Shetler who each recorded runner-up finishes.

Shetler was runner-up at 285 pounds and Boileau was runner-up at 190 pounds.

James Whisler was third at 157 for the Regals and Porter Shetler was sixth at 215.
