Liam Becher
West High graduate and current North Dakota junior offensive lineman Liam Becher earned Missouri Valley Football Conference all-conference honors when the league released its postseason honors on Monday.
The 6-foot-7, 320-pound Becher earned second-team all-conference honors on the offensive line after helping North Dakota to an 8-5 record and includes a 31-6 win over Tennessee Tech in the opening round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday.
Becher has started all 13 games at left guard for the Fighting Hawks this season helping North Dakota rank 16th in the FCS in scoring at 34.5 points per game.
Behind Becher and the rest of the offensive line North Dakota ranks 16th in the FCS in rushing offense at 199.4 yards per game and is allowing 1.1 sacks per game which ranks 11th in the FCS.
North Dakota will face Tarleton State in the second round of the playoffs on Saturday at Noon in Stephenville, Texas.
Drew Streb
Former Regina standout and current Wartburg College sophomore offensive lineman Drew Streb was named to the American Rivers Conference all-conference team when the league released its postseason honors last week.
The 6-foot-2, 257-pound Streb earned honorable mention all-ARC honors as an offensive lineman after helping the Knights to a 10-1 record and included an unbeaten 8-0 record in ARC action.
Wartburg fell to Wheaton College (Illinois) 28-24 in the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs on Saturday.
Jack Kinzer
Former Liberty High standout and current Wartburg senior Jack Kinzer earned all-American honors while helping the Knights to a top-three finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on November 22 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Kinzer earned all-American honors for the first time in his career placing 37th overall in a time of 24:40.8 to help Wartburg to a third-place finish with 133 points.
Wisconsin-La Crosse won the national title with 82 points followed by SUNY Geneseo with 132 points.
Kinzer was one of four all-Americans for the Knights, the most in program history helping Wartburg to its best finish since 2022.
