Cale Seaton
Former City High standout and current South Dakota State freshman Cale Seaton won the 133 pound title at the Tiger Style Invite on Saturday in Columbia, Missouri.
Seaton went 3-0 on his way to the individual title posting back-to-back 4-1 wins in sudden victory in the semifinals and finals.
Seaton won a 15-4 major decision over Carter Schmidt of Oklahoma in his opening match.
He scored a takedown in sudden victory to earn a 4-1 win over No. 19 Blake Boarman of Purdue in the semifinals and won the title with a sudden victory takedown of Isaiah Schaefer of Purdue in the finals.
Griffin Kraft
Liberty High graduate and current Morningside senior Griffin Kraft had three receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown in a 63-20 win over Mount Marty on Saturday in Sioux City.
A 6-foot-3, 230-pound tight end, Kraft has at least two receptions in eight games this season helping Morningside to an 8-2 record and a No. 10 national ranking in NAIA.
On the season Kraft has 25 receptions for 255 yards and four touchdowns and has caught seven passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns in the last two games.
Noah Gregoire
Liberty High graduate and current Mount Mercy freshman Noah Gregoire helped the Mustangs to a runner-up team finish at the Heart of America Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids.
Gregoire finished fifth overall and was the second Mount Mercy finisher as the Mustangs finished runner-up behind team champion Park University with 36 points.
Gregoire clocked a personal best time of 24:50.8 at the eight-kilometer course.
Kalin Rotzoll
Clear Creek Amana graduate and current Mount Mercy senior Kalin Rotzoll posted a top-15 finish to help the Mustangs to a runner-up team performance at the Heart of America Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids.
Rotzoll finished 12th as Mount Mercy had three runners in the top 15 on its way to a runner-up finish behind team champion Benedictine (Kansas) with 75 points.
Rotzoll clocked a time of 22:10.6 on the six-kilometer course.
